The 2010 model Yamaha VXs have been upgraded and are now even more fuel efficient for 2010

Yamaha says a remapping of the watercraft’s ECU has allowed its engineers to reduce fuel consumption by 10% at both cruising speed and wide open throttle with no reduction in horsepower.

For 2010 the VX models also receive a newly designed deck, creating a more expansive rider position than previous VX models. To do this the seat length has been increased to provide more legroom and better rider ergonomics, complete with a new profile that mirrors Yamaha’s more expensive FX line of craft. The position of the reverse control has also been adjusted for greater convenience and ease of use.

Ride has also been modified with the addition of a new ride plate and sponsons. Yamaha says this combination delivers a drier and better riding trim angle while the newly developed sponsons allow precise handling and turning.

There are three models in the VX range, the VX Sports, VX Deluxe and VX Cruiser. The VX Sports model is a “just add water” package, a quick and agile performer. The VX Deluxe has some extra refinements such as reverse and a remote immobiliser for extra security, while the VX Cruiser has all the features of the Deluxe model but with the added comfort of a high back cruiser seat.

“The VX is an exciting craft for anyone considering purchasing a WaveRunner”, says Iain MacLeod, National Sales and Marketing Manager for WaveRunners in Australia. “Many customers view this range as the perfect value package to get on the water. The VX range is also easy to store and maintain as well as simple to launch and retrieve. WaveRunners are an exciting but also stress free way of enjoying Australia’s beautiful waterways.”
