Description
Braveheart 2, a Lowland 80 Motor Yacht, exemplifies Dutch craftsmanship with its all-welded aluminum construction, single hull with double bottom, and twin-screw propulsion with fin stabilizers.
Designed by Pieter Beeldsnijer and built by Neth Ships Lowland Yachts BV in Holland in 1987, this 82 (25.75m) yacht is ideal for most anchorages with a draft of 1.65m. It is an economical cruiser, consuming 57 litres per hour for both engines and generators, with a range of around 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Originally launched for the U.S. market, Braveheart 2 later moved to New Zealand and then Australia, meeting stringent safety standards. In 2016, a comprehensive refit at Boat Works in Coomera, Queensland, saw over $1M AUD invested, including hull stripping, tank replacements, engine rebuilds, and new shafts and generators. The yacht has since cruised extensively, now berthed at Nongsa Point Marina in Batam, near Singapore.
The interior features light beech wood with dark timber trims, fully carpeted saloon and guest cabins, and an open galley with granite countertops and modern appliances. The main salon includes a bar, a large C-shaped sofa, and a dining area for six.
Braveheart 2 accommodates up to 10 guests in four cabins, including a full-beam master cabin with a queen bed and his-and-hers bathrooms, a forward VIP cabin, and twin cabins with Pullman beds.
The wheelhouse offers excellent visibility and access to side decks, while the flybridge includes a central helm, guest seating, and space for safety gear. The aft deck features a teak cockpit, a large lazarette, and a mezzanine level with outdoor seating. The flybridge provides a commanding view with a stainless steel Bimini frame and a U-shaped sofa. The foredeck includes a sunpad and anchor windlass.
With its robust build, extensive refit, and spacious accommodations, Braveheart 2 offers both comfort and performance, ideal for exploring the world's oceans.
