2003 Entrican 52 Cutter
Entrican 52 Bluewater Yacht | Rebuilt Engine

Laurabada is a serious offshore Entrican 52 steel built, owner-engineered, and proven through extensive South Pacific cruising. Her Ford D-series engine has just been fully professionally rebuilt by Taylor Engineering Auckland. This is a vessel best appreciated in person, where the quality of construction and workmanship becomes immediately clear.

Designed by Geoff Entrican and built by marine engineer M. Worthington for his own long-term use, Laurabada reflects a deep and practical understanding of offshore reliability. Her construction is purposeful, robust, and executed without compromise the work of a builder who expected to depend on her completely.

Below deck, English Oak and native New Zealand timbers create an interior that is both warm and highly functional comfortable for living aboard, yet entirely suited to passagemaking. She has remained with the same owners for over 20 years, sailing widely throughout the South Pacific before settling in the Bay of Islands a quiet but convincing endorsement of her capability.

The layout is designed for real-world cruising, with a walk-through transom leading into a protected cockpit for safe and practical access in a wide range of conditions.

Her electrically operated lifting keel provides genuine versatility allowing her to settle securely upright on a purpose-built support strip when raised, while delivering a 2.3m draft for offshore performance when lowered. Generous tankage and well-developed onboard power systems support extended independent cruising.

Laurabada represents exceptional value in a genuine offshore yacht defined by engineering integrity, thoughtful design, and careful long-term ownership.

A vessel that rewards close inspection.
