Description

This is a rare opportunity to buy a shaft drive Formula 4000 that has been in the same hands for over 25 years. She was professionally extended in 2003 at the same time she was converted to shaft drive with new twin Cummins 330B Diesels installed. Very well maintained, she needs to be seen to be believed. The owners are very proactive with maintenance. A full repaint in 2019 (for $88k) and still looks great. Too many things have been upgraded and improved on this boat to list here!

The overall layout is great with a nice flow through from the large cockpit, into the saloon with well appointed aft galley (with a new gas oven, a microwave, double sink and fridge) and plenty of comfortable seating around a large table. The lower helm is well equipped and has good views forward. Going down into the cabins has a double cabin to port with ensuite including head and separate shower. The forward cabin has a double bed plus single bed, and another two more bunks are situated in the access passageway, where there is also a second bathroom/head. There are also plenty of good storage cupboard options throughout.

The flybridge has plenty of seating and the helm is also well laid out with great views. The cockpit benefits from a third set of throttle controls which are useful when fishing or berthing at the marina.

An insurance survey from 2021 is available for reading where the surveyor noted "Upgrades and preventative maintenance had been achieved in a timely fashion to culminate in a launch far better than the original". The only recommendation in the survey was to replace the out of date flares.
