Katarianas original specification to the designer Ron Given was for: A safe fast sailing catamaran to go around the World. It was to be built to charter standard.

She has cruised to most of the islands in the South Pacific, ( inc French Polynesia). She has lived up to her design specification in all respects.

Katariana was built in 2008 and has been maintained by her builder Aaron Beattie ever since. She was reviewed by John MacFarlane in New Zealand Boating magazine in May 2009 and he said; The end result means Katariana - for me anyway. - hits a near perfect compromise between handling, seaworthiness, speed, style, accomodation and cost. Often sought, not always found.

She is for sale as while she is easily handled by two persons, she is getting beyond the capabilities of an 80 and a 75 year old couple. We are continuing to use her for local sailing while she is up for sale as we love her and dont really want to sell, but we must face reality. We believe $NZ550,000.00 is a fair price.
