Description
Sirena is a superbly crafted Dutch steel yacht designed to take you offshore sailing in safety and comfort. Her wide side decks, secure cockpit, and ketch-rigged cutter rigging, together with a long fin keel, will ensure you have a safe comfortable ride in the ocean.
Stepping below you enter the pilot house with an internal helm and a sea bunk. It is ideal for cruising the higher latitudes. In the main saloon, you get the feel of home with finely crafted woodwork, offset by light-coloured bulkheads giving an open and airy feel. Reversing the backrests turns the two settee berths into the most secure sea bunks you'll find on any yacht. There is even an internal heater to ensure winter sailing remains comfortable. Her u-shaped galley has plenty of workspace and storage with twin sinks, fridge and a 2-burner stove with oven. Forward is the toilet and double v berth. Two sliding doors create three separate living areas. There is also plenty of storage for longer trips.
Power is supplied via an 80hp Ford Lehman diesel engine, which is complemented by 4 solar panels maintaining 2 house and 1 engine start battery with a Mastervolt charger and inverter.
Electronics include a small PC running OpenCPN software, sailing instruments, an autopilot, and radar. An Aries wind vane self-steering backs up the autopilot for coastal and offshore voyages.
Safety equipment includes amongst other items an SSB radio receiver, VHF radio, Life raft and EPIRB, Aries wind-vane self-steering, large fuel and water tanks, solar power, inverter, heavy anchor gear, sail plan for every wind force and 3 whisker poles. Fully insulated above the waterline. Zodiac 3.1m inflatable dinghy with outboard. Large inventory of spare parts, ready for long voyages.
For more information on the beautifully kept ocean-going yacht, please call either Rob on 027 332 2535 or Alistair on 021 406 446.
