Description

Unique opportunity the Townson 36 Jenanne II requires a new custodian.
Designed by Des Townson in 1973 for the Neary family, Jenanne II is bigger version of the Twilight design.
Jenanne II was built to the closed in stage by master boatbuilder Brin Wilson. She has a three-skin kauri hull, kauri stingers, framing and girders, with mahogany coamings, plywood decks and laminated plywood cabin top, all sheathed in fibreglass. Her beautiful Australian maple and mahogany interior was hand crafted by Piri Neary, a second-generation professional cabinetmaker. Jenanne IIs engineering was superbly built by engineer Murray Wiseman, the founder of Murray Winches. In all respects, Jenanne II was one of the most skilfully constructed yachts of her era.
Jenanne II sails beautifully in all conditions, providing safe, comfortable Gulf cruising and highly competitive racing in modern classic events. She has all the usual gear for cruising or racing roller furler, full set of sails, quality 35hp VM Marine diesel engine (marinized four-cylinder Kubota), engine driven freezer, berths for five, an RIB inflatable, Yamaha 2hp outboard and much more.
Jenanne II has been loved and cherished for over 50 years within the Neary family. She is beautifully sound and, with a relatively modest amount of work could be made pristine.
The Neary family are keen that Jenanne II ends up in the right hands. If you are an experienced, knowledgeable sailor, with a love of quality timber yachts, and you understand custodianship, wed love to talk to you about owning this special yacht. A 12m Westhaven marina berth is available at extra cost.
Email the owners representative John through TradeaBoat and lets see if Jenanne II is your next yacht.
