Description

Manuia is a 1967, 32ft sailing yacht. She is 8 ft wide and draws 4'20" with 6'3" headroom in the cabin. Manuia is built of Oregon planking on oak frames with kauri and mahogany timbers. Originally constructed to take part in the Whangarei - Noumea race which she successfully completed and still retains the plaque and badge from this race. She is the 11th copy of Bert Woollacotts 1950 design Kathryn Anne.

She is a fast, safe and comfortable yacht which is very sea kindly and will always get you home. She had a major refit in 2008 and has been well maintained since with only little use. The refit included a brand new Yanmar 27 hp fresh-water cooled engine, new califont, upholstery, fridge/freezer, stove, pressure hot water system, bathroom, holding tank, depth gauge, fish finder and VHF radio. Hot water is generated either by the califont or an engine heated loop. The engine has roughly 15 hours on it and is in great condition with regular maintenance.

The mast, sails and rigging are in the same excellent condition as the entire yacht and the whole package is ready to sail away. Also included in the price is a mooring at Mahurangi harbour for the end of the journey.
