Auckland-based Manson Marine, specialists in Marine and general fabrication, have recently acquired the services of Jamie Logan and his Custom Marine business.
Jamie, who is well-known for his custom winch servicing, yachting system manufacture and custom marine engineering, will be running the engineering side of the company.
Retaining the name, Manson Marine & Engineering have already picked up some exciting engineering work including keel fabrication, pedestrian bollard prototyping, large-access walkway systems and the repair and servicing of some of New Zealand’s most well-known vessels.
Recent Marina facilities upgrades by Manson include Westhaven, Orakei, Whitianga, Tairua, Doves Bay, Bayswater and Hobsonville.
Manson is now able to offer servicing of all anchor winches, sheet winches and captive-reel winches along with hydraulic systems and other on-board engineering systems. Manson also offers a team of Lloyds approved fabricators, in-house designers and site installers.
Jamie commented: “It’s an exciting challenge joining up with a great company that has a fantastic reputation. We’ll be able to scale up from what I have traditionally focused on and look to grow the company.”
Manson Marine & Engineering has been providing high quality fabricated components and products since 1986. Its first major project completed was the construction of the entire Bayswater Marina steelwork in 1995.
