L&B appoint new technical service manager

Reg Werner, a 30-year-plus veteran of the marine and technical service industries, has become Lusty and Blundell’s new technical service manager.

Werner’s history includes a 17-year stint working in and managing the service departments of automotive giants Toyota and Ford. He has a commercial skipper’s ticket and a gas ticket, an in-depth understanding of all things electrical, and Level 4 qualifications in marine retail sales.

CEO Mark Milburn says Werner’s appointment is part of Lusty and Blundell’s on-going commitment to take customer service to the highest level.

“Reg not only understands all of the exciting new technologies, but he is also an excellent communicator,” Milburn said.

Werner says that he relishes the challenge of heading up L&B’s technical service department.

“It is a very exciting and fast-changing time,” he says. “There are lots of new products that are quickly changing the way in which we design, install and use many of our traditional onboard systems.

“That has huge advantages for both boat owners and manufacturers and a big part of my new role will be engaging with our customers and communicating those benefits. I am really looking forward to being in such a critical role as these incredible new technologies come to market.”

Werner will be based at Lusty and Blundell’s headquarters in Albany on Auckland’s North Shore.
