New Custom 930 due from Pinnacle Boats

Pinnacle Boats in Whitianga have started construction on their latest build, a custom 930 model.

The boat is being built for SMADA Fishing Charters and will be run out of Whangapoua on the eastern Coromandel as well as servicing the Three Kings area over the summer months.

Due to be launched prior to Xmas, the Scott Robson designed vessel has an overall length or 9.3m, beam of 2.8m with an estimated tow weight of 3500kg.

Construction see’s the 930 boast an extra heavy duty 8mm thick alloy hull with 5mm sides and 4mm used in the superstructure.

Powering the new 930 will be a 320hp Mercuiser QSD diesel inboard matched with a Bravo II sternleg and it is estimated the vessel will be capable of 32 knots.

Highly customized to suit the owners requirements, the Scott Robson designed hull was chosen for its excellent sea keeping ability, its 18 degree deadrise providing a comfortable ride for passengers and crew while also providing a stable fishing platform when at rest.

The Pinnacle 930 will feature an enclosed wheelhouse with plenty of passenger seating with a large 140L fridge and tackle drawer storage also prominent features. Drop down bunks will provide overnight sleeping for up to six.

An external shower unit will be accessed via the cockpit, with a head located up under the vee berth in the forward cabin.

Additional features include a large 15″ Furuno TZ Touch multi-function navigation display, a large underfloor kill tank in the cockpit, full length cockpit and cuddy side shelves, a large workable cockpit with two live bait tanks, four tuna tubes, large volume underfloor buoyancy, 600L fuel tank and a 200L water tank.

The build of the 930 follows on from the launch of Pinnacle Boats first production model last year – the 660. A new 720 model will also be built in the coming months.

This 930 will be on display at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boatshow 2017.
