The largest and most valuable prize ever offered at a New Zealand boat show will be up for grabs at this year’s Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show in Auckland in May.

The "must be won" 7-metre Surtees/Yamaha Grand Prize package consists of a Surtees 700 Game Fisher and twin "counter-rotating" Yamaha 115hp four-stroke outboards. It comes on an extremely stylish black, double-axle braked Epic trailer, features a comprehensive Garmin electronics package and is valued at over $150,000!

Also on board for the lucky winner is a Balex Automatic Boat Loader (enabling the approx two-tonne prize to be effortlessly launched and retrieved at the push of a button), a Lone Star GX2 drum winch system and a whole boat-load of other practical extras.

Everyone who buys a ticket to the show, either online at or at the gates, is eligible to enter the draw for this incredible prize. All they need do is collect a stamp from all of the clearly marked booths, strategically positioned around the show, answer a simple question and fill in their contact details. The winner will be drawn under Police supervision shortly after the show closes on Sunday, May 18 and will be notified immediately.

The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show is at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, Auckland from May 18-21. The show is open 10am-6pm daily, with a late night Friday, until 9pm. Admission is $18 online (plus a one-off delivery charge per order) and $20 at the gate. Children 16 and under are free.
