The new Element represents a completely new design from Bayliner - well known for its affordable and good handling boats. Handles More Like a Car due to the M Hull design Remains Stable When Stepping Aboard. Typically the solution to keeping the boat stable is to make it bigger and wider. That's a little difficult on a boat with a LOA of 16'2" (4.9 m) so Bayliner was able to accomplish this with the "M" hull design. Inexpensive. She comes standard with a 60-hp Mercury Four Stroke Big Foot outboard, a 12 gallon (45.4 L) fuel tank and trailer. Easy to Trailer. She literally centers herself between the bunks requiring no effort or precision on the part of the operator. Lightweight. The Element and trailer are so light -- 2,145 lbs /975 kgs. -- towable by the average family car. "M" Shaped Hull. Only a few boats are built this way, but it is a highly stable design. On the other hand, it is not intended for high speed or rough water use. Standard Full Beam Aft Sun Pad. Where we usually see a walk through from the stern this Element has a full aft sundeck. She's easier to board from the side. Molded Helm Seat. There's no separate bucket seat behind the helm but rather cushions are secured to a molded seat. This also means that there are no seat adjustments. Molded Transom Seating. Since this is where boaters spend a good deal of their time Bayliner made this a comfortable place to relax. Dual portside seats. The separate moulded seats on the port side allow two people to sit near the operator. Midship Cleats. There are only four cleats total on the Element but instead of putting two at the bow, Bayliner moved it back to the midships area where it makes much more sense for single-handed docking. For those planning to anchor we recommend adding a bow cleat in the aftermarket. With a 60-hp Mercury Bigfoot FourStroke turning a 13.8'' x 13'' four-bladed propeller - the Element reached a top speed at 5500 rpm of 29.2 mph when tested. When Bayliner set out to design a more evolved runabout, they asked ourselves lots of questions. Like why couldnt runabouts have roomier bows? And, what about attaching the swim platform aft of the running surface to create more cockpit space? The answers led them to create our new VR Seriesrunabouts with the usable space typically found in boats 2 feet longer. In fact, theyre so roomy, competitors comparable models actually fit inside their VR Series counterparts. The VR5 builds on Bayliners proven V-bottom bowrider heritage, while adding form AND function. Forward, the boat employs Bayliners category-leading BeamForward design, which carries the full 8 feet of beam further forward in the boat than has been traditionally done. The self-bailing cockpit features Bayliners new AftAdvantage design that increases the aft seating area by extending it to the aft most point of the running surface, then adding the swim platform at the end of the running surface. This keeps the platform apart from the usable interior space, rather than encroaching on itregardless of whether you choose outboard or sterndrive power. The result is a boat that maximizes space and value like never before. Features include: BeamForward design with high gunnels creating more passenger space, under-seat storage and safety. Exceptionally roomy cockpit thanks to the exclusive AftAdvantage design. Standard integrated swim platform and optional platform extension are positioned further aft than comparable models adding interior space while providing the ideal staging area for water sports. Resting on a Karavan single axle trailer with brakes and swing tongue. Call and inspect in our showroom. We can deliver anywhere.
